How much information do I need to disclose about the items I need to store?

Honesty is the best policy! The more information you share the better otherwise you could be waiving your rights for compensation should there be any damage to your items (and you could be responsible for any damages caused to your Host’s space by undisclosed items). Additionally, you need to let your Host know if you will be storing any of the following items:

  • documents, files, or electronic data that contain personal information, such as social security numbers, credit or debit card information, bank account information, passport information and medical or legal records relating to clients, customers, patients or others in connection with your business;
  • alcoholic beverages; and
  • pharmaceuticals other than those dispensed by a licensed pharmacy for your personal use.

We strongly recommending taking photos of the items you are storing. Not only does this document what you have stored, but also the state in which it was stored in case of any damages.
